Artelo is a print-on-demand service for wall art: fine art, photo, poster and canvas prints and framed pieces, printed and framed in its own facility in Lexington, Kentucky, and shipped under the seller's brand. Its About page says Artelo "launched in 2023 as a spinoff of our established printing and framing business" and that the facility "handles every step of production: printing, framing, packaging, and shipping." It is built for artists, photographers and art businesses selling on Etsy, Shopify or their own sites, and it also sells the same products wholesale.

What a seller gets

The model is simple: sign up free, create products, connect a store, and pay only when an order is fulfilled. The pricing page lists "No setup costs", "No commissions" and "No hidden fees", and the FAQ says "You're only charged when we fulfill an order for you." Sellers set their own prices, and Artelo "doesn't charge commissions or set minimum order quantities." Charges apply when production begins, and all payments are in USD.

In the software, a product is a single item such as a framed 12x16 print, and a product set groups its variations (sizes, frame styles) into one listing. Templates save common settings for sizes, frames, pricing and shipping. When a store is connected, Artelo imports the listings and marks each variant connected, unconnected or ignored; only connected variants are fulfilled automatically. Manual orders cover custom requests and test prints, and a product can be marked "personalized" so Artelo holds the order until the seller uploads the customer's design. Print sets bundle several prints as one product.

For growing catalogs Artelo offers built-in mockup rendering, bulk product creation, bulk publishing to connected stores, and help moving from another provider: "personalized onboarding, bulk image generation, and listing integration." The FAQ also says sellers can keep other print-on-demand partners for apparel or accessories and use Artelo for wall art.

Products, papers and frames

Artelo does only wall art, and says so: "We focus exclusively on high-quality art prints on demand rather than merchandise like t-shirts or mugs." The printing range covers canvas, fine art, photo and poster materials. Paper runs "from affordable poster stock to premium fine art papers," and the FAQ names Hahnemühle, Moab and Epson at the premium end and Sihl, Neenah and Tango as more cost-effective options.

Frames are built from American white oak and brushed metal, "Available in 8 colors in oak and metal," with a choice of real glass or acrylic. The pricing configurator shows the options a seller picks: unframed, standard or premium frame; metal or oak; add-ons such as hanging pins and mats; and a framing service that ships the piece ready to hang, with the print placed in the frame, or with print and frame shipped together for the customer to assemble. Artelo accepts JPG, PNG, PDF and TIFF files.

Artelo also sells its frames as private-label and wholesale products and says its frames are found "in over 1,000 retail stores, galleries, and commercial spaces nationwide."

Published pricing

Artelo publishes its base costs. The interactive pricing table on the pricing page lists production and shipping cost by size for an individual poster print on matte paper delivered in the United States. Examples from that table: 8x10 at $4.06 production and $4.91 shipping, 11x14 at $5.70, 16x20 at $8.40, 18x24 at $12.62, 24x36 at $15.45 with $8.10 shipping, A4 at $4.29, and 50x70cm at $14.05. US shipping in the table steps from $4.91 for smaller sizes to $7.10 and $8.10 for larger ones.

The page's profit calculator works one example through: a production cost of $9.06 and shipping of $5.94 against total sales of $31.48, with $1.21 of Shopify fees, leaving $15.26, or 48%. The note under it says the estimate excludes sales tax and that "Additional shipping fees may apply for orders to non-contiguous U.S. states and territories." Artelo also claims "Artists save an average of 30% by switching to Artelo," a figure it gives about itself.

Samples are free to start ("Sign up for Artelo and enjoy free samples on us!"), with discounted sample prints for later print runs. Wholesale orders get quantity discounts at set breakpoints, with no minimums.

Integrations and API

Artelo integrates natively with Etsy and Shopify; the site says a seller can "Integrate your Etsy, Shopify, or other store in seconds" and push listing updates while keeping pricing control. For other channels it supports Order Desk, and sellers on unsupported platforms can place manual orders. For developers there is an API for product catalog management in bulk, order submission and real-time tracking, branding options for packaging and inserts, webhooks for order and shipment events, and access to shipping rates and delivery estimates. API keys are generated from the Integrations page, and Artelo says the API suits small shops and large storefronts alike, with no minimums.

Production and shipping

The production promise is "1-3 Day production time", and the shipping page says orders are printed, framed and packaged within 2 to 3 business days and shipped at the end of the final production day. Delivery times after shipping are listed by destination: 2 - 3 days within the United States, 3 - 5 days to Canada, and 5 - 8 days to most other countries, including Mexico, the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Japan, India, Australia and South Africa. The homepage claims "219 Countries with international shipping" and "3-day shipping to 80% of the US."

International orders ship Delivered Duty Paid: "your international customers are not responsible for paying any import duties, taxes, or fees upon delivery." For Canada, Artelo applies the correct GST, PST, QST or HST rate by destination and says US-made products shipped to Canada generally do not incur duties. Every order includes tracking, synced to a connected store, and Artelo picks the carrier per order by destination, weight and speed. Shipping is not free; rates vary by destination and product weight.

Branding and support

Fulfillment is white-label: "Orders are packaged using your branding, so your customers only see your name, not ours." Branding options include custom packaging, box stickers, logo inserts and thank-you cards. Artelo emphasizes on-site support from its production facility and personalized onboarding.

On rights, the FAQ says artists "retain full copyright and ownership," granting Artelo only a limited license to print and fulfill orders, and that Artelo does not resell, reuse or sublicense the art.

Seller testimonials on the site come from Olive & Oak Collective in Canada ("Exceptional quality and unmatched customer service"), Jérôme Art & Photography, and Timeless Patents, which says it saved "dozens of hours of order management work a week."

Who it suits

Artelo suits artists, photographers and art brands selling prints and framed art on Etsy, Shopify or a custom site who want a US maker with published base costs, fast production and white-label packaging. The in-house framing, the choice of papers and the free samples make it easy to test, and the wholesale side lets the same products go into shops and pop-ups.

It is a wall-art specialist, so a seller who also needs apparel or mugs would pair it with another provider, as Artelo itself suggests. For a wall-art seller, it is a strong, transparent option.
