Beyond Print is a fine art printing and framing studio at 65 Tudor Road in Hackney, East London, and it runs a print on demand service for artists and photographers who sell their work online. The studio prints Giclée and C-type art prints, mounts and frames them, and ships each order directly to the seller's customer once a sale comes in through Shopify, Etsy or a custom integration. It describes itself as a Hahnemühle and Fujifilm certified print studio, and the dropship offer sits alongside its walk-in trade: scanning, retouching, installation and fine art shipping for galleries, photographers and interior designers.

What a seller gets

The dropship page pitches the service as "an all-in-one solution" for an artist or photographer: "You install our Shopify app on your website, and we take care of the rest from printing, framing, and delivery." The studio says it also handles any certification a print needs, limited edition signatures, white-label delivery and the seller's own stickers or labels, "so your customer knows it has come from you."

The product range is the studio's own fine art catalog rather than a merchandise list. Giclée prints go on a wide choice of textured art papers and are aimed chiefly at artists, though the homepage says photographers like them too. C-type prints are made on Fujifilm media, and larger C-type prints move to what the studio calls its exclusive Kodak media; this route suits photographers who want detail and tonal range, and artists who need a paper only the C-type process offers. Both can be mounted or framed, and the homepage says it works with "the finest Hahnemühle & Fuji papers" and frame moldings.

The homepage names the papers it stocks. On the C-type side: Kodak Metallic, Fuji Flex, Fuji Gloss, Fuji Matt, Kodak Lustre, Fuji Maxima Gloss and Fuji Maxima Matt. On the Giclée side: Hahnemühle Museum Etching, German Etching, Photorag, Pearl, Bamboo, Photo Luster, Baryta FA and Baryta FB. That is a useful list for a seller who wants to name the exact paper in a product listing.

Getting started happens inside the Beyond Print portal. A seller registers, opens their profile and clicks the "become drop shipper" tab. All account details must be filled in and an active card must be on file, because the studio charges automatically whenever a platform sends it an order. Products are built in the portal: upload the artwork, choose how it will be sold, turn it into a product, then set the product name, markup and description. White labeling is switched on product by product, and the page says its cost is added to the product price automatically, so the seller does not need to raise the markup to cover it. A seller who supplies their own white-label items (a sticker logo, a certificate or a thank-you note) posts them to the Hackney studio address.

How orders flow

Beyond Print documents three routes into its production queue.

Shopify. From the portal's integrations screen the seller picks Shopify, is redirected to install the Beyond Print app, grants it access, and then chooses which products to sync. The studio warns that price and name edits must be made in the Beyond Print portal, because changes made in Shopify may be overridden. When an order is created in Shopify, the seller requests fulfillment, or turns on automatic fulfillment in Shopify's settings. The studio then accepts the order, charges the card on the account, and marks the order as shipped in Shopify when it leaves.

Etsy. The seller grants Beyond Print access to the Etsy shop, then adds "Beyond Print" by hand under Product Partners in Etsy's settings and clicks Sync Production Partner in the portal. Products can then be pushed out as Etsy listings. The FAQ says the studio regularly checks Etsy for new orders containing its products; each one syncs to the portal, the card is charged, and the seller is told when it ships. Sellers may edit tags, extra gallery images and similar details on Etsy, but pricing, stock, name and description are overwritten by the Beyond Print system. The page also notes that the app uses the Etsy API and is not endorsed or certified by Etsy.

Custom REST API. For a seller's own storefront, the portal creates a custom integration from an integration name and a webhook URL, and returns an API key. Each product must first be created manually in the portal and toggled on for that integration before it appears on the products endpoint. The seller's system lists products with a GET call, stores their IDs, and pushes each order with a POST carrying the shipping address and the line items. The response returns a Beyond Print order ID, which the seller should keep for follow-ups. Full documentation is published on Postman.

If a pushed order sits on "pending," the FAQ explains that payment has not gone through, and the seller can pay from the order screen.

Shipping, delivery and turnaround

Shipping is not part of a dropshipped product's price. The FAQ says the shipping price "is not included in the cost of the product when syncing the product to your integrations," so the seller must charge it through the sales platform or build it into the markup. The studio works out shipping once an order arrives, based on the destination, and links to a separate rate table rather than printing rates on the dropship page. International shipping is offered, and the homepage promises worldwide shipping and says same-day and next-day delivery are available. It also says the studio will "work with your timelines, no matter how quick you may need it." Everything happens in the one Hackney studio: the homepage lists printing, framing, scanning, retouching and installation "under one roof."

Pricing and discounts

The dropship page does not print per-product base costs; a seller builds a product in the portal and sets their markup on top of the studio's price there. The homepage does print a few figures. A paper sample pack costs £8.99 including VAT and comes with a £8.99 credit voucher against a later order, so it is effectively free for anyone who goes on to print. The pack covers Giclée and C-type media from Hahnemühle, Canson, Fujifilm and Kodak. Newsletter subscribers get 15% off a first order, capped at a £100 discount, and students and graduates get a separate 15% off prints and frames after registering.

Certification and sustainability

The homepage explains that belonging to the Hahnemühle and Fujifilm certified studio program means achieving and maintaining excellence in art reproduction, digital art and photographs, and that the studio has an advanced education level on the archival longevity of prints along with full competence in fine art printing workflow and color management.

The sustainability wording is mixed, and a seller who plans to market prints as low-carbon should read it carefully. A homepage banner says "Carbon neutral from print to delivery," while the sustainability paragraph lower down says the studio is "taking the right steps to be carbon neutral very soon," and that it has worked to reduce its footprint since moving into the Hackney studio in November 2020.

Support

The studio lists a phone line and email, live chat on the site, and walk-in visits: the homepage invites sellers to pop into the Hackney studio, meet the team and take a tour. It is open Monday to Friday from 9am to 6pm, weekends by appointment, and closes between Christmas and New Year.

Who it suits

Beyond Print fits artists and photographers who sell framed or unframed wall art from a Shopify or Etsy shop and care about the paper as much as the image. The named Hahnemühle and Fujifilm stock, the certification, and the option of signed limited editions and certificates make it a natural partner for limited-edition and collector sales. The white-label options, charged per product, suit a seller building their own brand, and the REST API covers anyone with a custom storefront. A seller in or near London gains something rare in dropshipping: a studio they can walk into to check proofs and paper.

It does not suit a seller looking for a broad merchandise catalog. The pages show art prints, mounting and framing, not apparel, mugs or phone cases. Anyone who needs to know unit costs before signing up should also expect to register first, because the dropship page does not publish base prices.
