Ink n Art is a full-service print shop in Gothenburg (Göteborg) that prints posters and art prints, photo books, calendars, notebooks, business cards, packaging, signs and printed clothing, and that runs a print-on-demand service for artists, photographers and web shops. The seller designs a product and sells it in their own web shop; Ink n Art receives each order, prints it and ships it straight to the customer, so the seller never handles stock. The homepage describes a print shop that "tar hand om hela processen, från idé och produktion till distribution hela vägen fram till slutkund" (takes care of the whole process, from idea and production to distribution all the way to the end customer).
What the company prints
The site groups its services into print on demand, packaging, printed matter, large-format print, printed clothing, a promotional merchandise shop and a print school. The homepage says its production floor covers 1650 square meters ("1650kvm") of machinery and can produce most kinds of printed matter. Large format covers everything from metal signs and decals to interior pieces and fine art posters, all made in Gothenburg. Packaging is custom-made with unique prints in the company's own shop in central Gothenburg.
For print on demand specifically, the company's guide lists two product groups. Paper products are posters and art prints, photo books and albums, calendars, notebooks and journals, and business cards ("ja, även de," or "yes, those too"). Packaging covers short runs for limited editions, seasonal packaging and event-specific variants.
Ink n Art also runs packaging on demand as a separate service. The homepage says it produces packaging only when a customer actually needs it, from a single copy up to 10,000, and it can set up a custom ordering portal so a company's staff can order the right packaging at any time without going through a middleman. The pitch is launching products, campaigns and limited editions in days rather than weeks.
How print on demand works
The guide sets out the flow in four lines: you create a design, the customer orders through your web shop, Ink n Art gets the order, prints the product and ships it directly to the customer, and you never touch the stock. It sums up the model as "Inga startkostnader. Inga lagerrisker. Ingen kapitalbindning" (no startup costs, no stock risk, no capital tied up).
Getting started takes four steps, according to the guide. Decide what to sell, starting simply with a poster or a calendar. Contact Ink n Art, which helps set up the flow. Connect the web shop through Gelato Storelink, which the company calls "vår portal för automatiserad orderhantering" (our portal for automated order handling). Then sell, while the shop prints and the customer receives the product. The guide says Gelato Storelink links a web shop directly to Ink n Art's production, with automated order handling, quality control and delivery, and that "Integrationer finns för de flesta e-handelsplattformar" (integrations exist for most e-commerce platforms). The guide does not name the platforms, and it asks sellers to get in touch to start.
What the company promises sellers
The guide lists six advantages. There is no upfront cost: you pay only when you sell, which makes it easy to test new products. It supports the long tail: a poster that sells three copies a month is still profitable, while with traditional printing "hade den aldrig producerats" (it would never have been produced). Personalization is possible, since every product can be unique with names, dates or custom images. There is an environmental gain, because nothing surplus is printed and thrown away. It offers global reach: sell internationally without handling international shipping, because Ink n Art ships directly. And it claims a strong price level, with competitive product prices and good shipping rates that show in the seller's margin.
On delivery speed, the guide addresses the usual complaint about print on demand head on and says express shipping is standard at Ink n Art rather than an expensive add-on, so the seller does not have to explain long waits to customers.
The guide also names the sellers it is written for. Artists and illustrators can sell prints without tying up 50,000 kr in stock and test new motifs without risk. Web shops can widen their range without raising storage costs, which the page calls dropshipping "fast med bättre kvalitet" (but with better quality). Companies with niche products can make internal merchandise, customer-specific products and limited runs. Photographers can sell prints in any format, with "Gallerikvalitet utan galleripriser" (gallery quality without gallery prices).
Pricing
Ink n Art does not publish a price list for its print-on-demand products. Instead, the site's banner offers an AI price calculator: "Räkna fram priset på trycksaker på 15 sekunder via AI" (calculate the price of printed matter in 15 seconds via AI), linked as "Räkna pris direkt." The site's own shop accepts Klarna, Mastercard and Visa.
Local production and environment
The homepage says the company has invested heavily in producing locally in Gothenburg and has bought a range of machines with the latest technology in recent years. On the environment, it says it prints digitally mainly on Swedish paper, works actively to phase out environmentally harmful materials, and aims to offer sustainable, locally made printed matter and signs with as small a climate footprint as possible. These are the company's own claims.
Clients and support
Testimonials on the homepage come from staff at Voi Technology, Moss & Noor and Gridelli, praising fast replies, tight deadlines met and the team's knowledge "hela processen" from idea to delivery. Case studies describe exhibition material for a show at the Röhsska museum and an advent calendar for the brand NABO. A showroom page shows earlier productions and materials.
The office is at Exportgatan 33B in Hisings Backa, Gothenburg, and the site lists a phone number, an email address and a contact form, plus an order history page for customers. The site is in Swedish.
Who it suits
Ink n Art fits Swedish artists, illustrators and photographers who want posters, art prints, photo books, calendars or journals printed only when they sell, and web shops that want to add those products without stock. Its packaging-on-demand service and ordering portal make it just as relevant to brands that need short runs of printed packaging. A seller already using Gelato's store connection can route orders to a local Gothenburg printer.
It suits less a seller who wants a published per-unit price list before getting in touch, or one who needs to know exactly which platforms connect, since the guide leaves both to a conversation.
