JONDO

JONDO is a print-on-demand manufacturer of wall art and home decor that sells to POD platforms, e-commerce brands, retailers, and artists and designers. Its homepage describes it as "a print on demand supplier specializing in regional manufacturing with local delivery." It belongs to the Sensaria family of brands. Its own software sends each order to one of its standardized regional facilities, "across 3 continents," so the same product is made close to the end customer. The range covers canvas, paper, acrylic and metal prints, peel-and-stick prints, pillows and blankets, banners and rigid signs, and on the UK site mugs, towels and kitchen textiles. Sellers connect by API, through Order Desk, or through a no-integration order portal.

The production network

The homepage claims "over 3 decades of experience," and the wall art page speaks of "30+ years of experience in fine art printing." The pitch is standardization: whichever facility makes a print, the wall art page says it will have the same quality, color, detail and durability. The homepage adds that JONDO offers "one point of contact for the exact same product – globally."

The pages name two facilities in detail. JONDO UK is at 36 North Lane, Aldershot, Hampshire, and its site says its products are "manufactured in the UK" and delivered across the UK. JONDO Spain is a 41,000 square ft. facility in Barcelona that joined the network in February 2018 as a print-on-demand dropshipping center for Spain and Southern Europe; its page says it also fulfills for markets such as Germany and Italy, with lower shipping costs and delivery times. A sustainability post from 2020 put the network at "ten global print fulfillment facilities in six countries," and a blog post title on the same page addresses international sellers entering the US market through JONDO.

What it makes

The global product pages give specific specs for each line:

  • Canvas prints, rolled, stretched or framed, in gloss or matte, on a 0.75 inch or 1.25 inch stretcher bar, with sawtooth hanging hardware and rubber bumpers. The UK site adds a satin finish.
  • Paper prints, rolled or framed, in fine art, semi gloss, water-based poster and matte poster finishes; framed prints come ready to hang. The Spain page adds a metallic finish.
  • Acrylic prints, clear acrylic with polished edges, 0.25 inch thick, with pre-installed 1.25 inch wood mounting on the back.
  • Metal prints, white-coated aluminum in a satin finish, 0.0625 inch thick, with the same wood mounting.
  • Peel and stick prints, bright white 7 mil 100% polyester with a satin sheen, for temporary applications, graphics and decals.
  • Pillows and cushions in canvas, linen or faux suede (plus velvet on the UK site), printed edge to edge on one or both sides.
  • Blankets in premium sherpa and velveteen fleece.
  • Banners in 13oz matte vinyl with grommets, and rigid signs in 4mm fluted polypropylene with an aluminum H-stake stand.

The UK store adds framed canvas and framed art prints, outdoor cushions, an 11oz white ceramic mug that is microwave and dishwasher safe, chopping boards, kitchen aprons, towels, coasters and placemats, and tea towels. The menus also list AI art printing and NFT art printing.

Two UK product pages go further. Framed canvas prints use UV-protected canvas hand-stretched on radiata pine "from FSC-certified mills" and come in white, black, pine or oak frames, with production of up to 4 working days. The page also describes panoramic, cluster and multi-panel canvas layouts, such as diptychs and triptychs. Towels are 400gsm, printed on one side edge to edge by dye sublimation, in 55" x 27.6" and 63" x 31.5", with a production time of 4 working days, direct-to-consumer or store shipping, and no minimum order quantity.

How sellers connect

JONDO offers three routes, which the UK pages tie to company size: "our dedicated API integration for larger customers or through Order Desk for mid-size customers." For small or emerging businesses, one UK page names Artovo and another names the JONDO GO order portal as "the fastest way to start working with us without the need for an integration," while the US menu lists Sensaria GO, Order Desk and the OnePoint API. The UK pages say all routes "include the ability for white label canvas printing."

The home decor page suggests uses from branded products to cushions and blankets for rental properties or for sale "on platforms such as Etsy and Amazon." Detailed product information is sent on request, and new sellers are asked to fill in a fulfillment form or contact the team.

Speed, costs and support

JONDO UK makes the most specific service claims. Its homepage cites "a 99.99% success rate on orders shipped within 3 days and a 1-day SLA for canvas prints" as its speed record. It says "there are no setup fees, subscriptions, or hidden charges," that support comes from "real people, not chatbots," and that sellers get free resources "including mockup generators" to help them grow. Unit prices come from the sales team rather than a public price list, and the 2020 blog says only that the network offers eco-friendly printing "at a competitive price, allowing you to pass those savings on to your customers." The same post says JONDO has no minimum order requirement, so order volumes can match demand.

The products FAQ lists the benefits of the model for a seller as no inventory to store, payment from the consumer before fulfillment, and the consumer's freedom to pick the exact size and image.

Sustainability claims

The global and UK sites make detailed environmental claims, all in the company's own words. The 2020 blog says the in-house workflow uses no paper job tickets, that JONDO uses HP Latex printers that are Energy Star compliant, and that HP Latex inks are UL certified GREENGUARD GOLD. It says stretcher bars come from sustainable wood from renewable forests, that packaging uses recyclable corrugated cardboard, that over 50% of that cardboard is recycled, and that its larger boxes are designed to avoid oversize surcharges. The products FAQ adds water-based latex inks and eco-friendly packaging. JONDO UK says it has moved to electric vehicles and solar panels, aims to cut gas and electricity use by 20% in the coming year, uses 100% recyclable paper and packaging, and uses HP sustainable inks.

Who it suits

JONDO fits businesses that sell wall art and home decor at volume and want the same product made close to customers in more than one region: POD platforms, e-commerce brands and retailers first, and artists with a store of their own. The Aldershot and Barcelona facilities make it relevant for UK and Southern European fulfillment, and the three connection routes cover everyone from an API shop to a small seller using the order portal. White-label canvas printing, published product specs and the UK's stated turnaround figures make planning easier.

It suits less a seller who wants self-serve pricing on a website, since costs come through contact with the sales team, or someone looking for apparel, which is not part of the range shown.
