Monster Digital

Tap a star to rate

Monster Digital is the on-demand direct-to-garment (DTG) printing division of TSC Miami, with addresses in Miami Gardens, Florida, and Ciudad Juárez, Mexico. The parent company's site explains the relationship: "Monster Digital was founded as an extension of TSC Miami to continue the consumer need for ecommerce expansion through a large on demand digital printing platform." It is built for e-commerce businesses and brands with large order volumes, and its headline sets the tone: "We manage the largest brands & retailers in the world with our strategic global locations." TSC Miami itself, the site says, "was founded 20 years ago on consumer innovation."

What a seller actually gets

The core offer is DTG printing and fulfillment connected directly to the seller's store. The Monster Digital page puts the whole model in three sentences: "Three locations, running 24/7, promotes product delivery anywhere in the USA within 1-3 days of receiving an order. Our large digital platform allows easy and direct integration of your website to our back-end manufacturing plants. Monster Digital inventories over 3,000 unique garment SKU's providing a large assortment for your customers to pick from."

Speed is the main selling point. The fulfillment section says the company works "out of multiple locations with an ever-growing fleet of the most advanced Kornit printers. Combined with 24/7 operations, we offer our partners a best-in-class level of service putting products in their customers hands with lightening fulfillment speeds of 24 hours." Elsewhere it adds that "Monster Digital operates 24/7 and never closes, understanding what it takes to service e-commerce businesses."

Order flow runs through the company's own software rather than a marketplace app. The technology section describes "Completely automated proprietary software" that "manages both customer & backend operations providing a scalable ecommerce solution", with "Sophisticated order routing, inventory management systems, SLA & reporting tools" to "control massive order intakes." For visibility, "All information is visible to our customers via API integration with a live web portal feeding instant information", and "Our systems are all online with visibility and status updates to every order." A seller connects its website to the plants by API and follows each order in the portal.

Branding is part of the service: "We provide a fully customized experience; including branded neck labels, trims, and promotional inserts." For a brand, that means the garment and the parcel carry its own identity rather than the printer's. The company also says "Key garment SKU's will be strategically added to expand product offerings."

Capacity and equipment

The numbers on the page are large. "The facilities are equipped with the newest Kornit Atlas Max and M&R Polaris digital printers to assure exceptional quality. With a capacity of 100,000 unique prints per day and shipping internationally to 169 countries, Monster Digital can throttle up to manage promotional and holiday surges."

The operations list backs that up with several claims about how the plants are run:

  • "Loyal partnerships with all major apparel suppliers to assure best price and availability."
  • An "Automated inventory replenishment system manages the stock levels of our garments and consumables through supplier integration assuring available in-house stock levels are meeting customer orders, minimizing stock outages."
  • "Superior management teams include on staff 24/7 technical department with stringent preventative maintenance programs assuring uptime machinery performance."
  • A "Large internal software development team focuses on our customers experience, continuous improvement of internal operating systems, and reporting tools to manage the front and back end information needs."
  • "Innovative software helps drive efficiencies and output to assure on time delivery increasing uptime."

On labor, the company states that it "will not outsource labor to meet production needs", which it calls "a distinct advantage in managing consistent quality and delivery of your product during promotional and peak seasons."

On experience, the innovation section describes Monster Digital as "A founding innovator & leader for over 15 years in the direct to garment space", running its equipment "at an obsessive level of control." These are the company's own descriptions of itself.

Screen print and on-demand together

A feature worth noting is the link to the sister company. The partnership section says: "Partnering with our sister division TSC Miami, MD offers a unique fulfillment software platform that manages the merging of screen printed inventory with on demand product, giving our partners new ways to manage inventory risk and increase overall margins." For a brand that sells a few proven designs in volume and a long tail of designs in small numbers, this allows bestsellers to be screen printed ahead and the rest printed on demand, with orders from both flowing through one system. The TSC Miami homepage describes the pair as "a 360º solution-based company providing a complete suite of front to back-end services", joined by a technology platform "allowing easy management of orders to move through the facilities."

A reference from a known partner

The page carries one named testimonial, from Jake Nickell, founder and CEO of Threadless: "At Threadless we have been working with the team behind Monster POD for over a decade and I cannot speak highly enough about their product quality, efficient processes, and attention to detail." He adds that their "supportive, collaborative approach to foster a true partnership-based working style is unmatched in the industry."

Pricing and contact

The site publishes no prices or minimums; the page closes with an invitation to reach out directly. The Miami address is 16085 NW 52nd Ave, Miami Gardens, FL 33014, and the Juárez address is Ave. Los Torres #2440, Col. Lote Bravo, Cd. Juarez CHH 32575. Both list the phone number 305-622-6760, and the email is info@tscmiami.com.

Who it suits

Monster Digital suits established brands, marketplaces and e-commerce companies that need a DTG partner able to absorb high volume: an API connection from their own platform, 24-hour fulfillment, US delivery within 1-3 days of the order, international shipping to 169 countries and headroom for holiday peaks. Brands that already screen print their bestsellers gain the most from the combined TSC Miami setup, and the branded neck labels, trims and inserts suit labels that want a finished retail product.

It is a harder fit for a new or small seller. The site speaks to "partners" and large brands, works through direct contact rather than a self-service signup, and names no plug-in store apps. A seller with a handful of orders a week is not the customer this page is written for.
