Ninja Print on Demand

Ninja Print on Demand, or NinjaPOD, is a print-on-demand service delivered as a free Shopify app. A seller installs the app, puts a design on one of more than 2,500 apparel products and bags, publishes it to their Shopify store, and Ninja prints, packs and ships each order under the store's name. Every item is printed with direct-to-film (DTF) transfers; the company calls itself "the only print-on-demand Shopify app built exclusively on Ninja's industry-leading Direct-to-Film (DTF) technology." The same company sells DTF transfers, custom patches and blind-shipped custom apparel orders under the Ninja name.
How the app works
The homepage sets out the flow in five short steps: install the app, create your product, get your first order, "we white-label print & ship in 2–4 days," and pay only when you sell. The company says a first product can be set up in under 5 minutes, and a demo video and a demo store show the process.
Inside the app, a seller chooses from the catalog, adds a logo or design, sets the selling price and so the profit margin, and saves the product to push it live to the store. Once a customer buys a product connected to NinjaPOD, the order goes to Ninja either manually or automatically, at the seller's choice; auto-fulfillment went live in December 2025, according to the app's update log. Ninja then prints the item and ships it, and the homepage says "we even white label the shipment using your store name as the return address." A July 2025 update added the option to show the store's name and address on shipping labels.
Shopify is the channel the whole service is built around: "Connect your Shopify ecommerce store to Ninja POD in seconds," the homepage says, and it describes the product push as a 1-click integration. A September 2026 guide explains how to set up TikTok Shop with Shopify and NinjaPOD, covering the shipping, warehouse and order settings needed. The company moved all sellers to a rebuilt app in 2026, and support for the old app ended on September 17, 2026.
Cost model
Installing and using the app is free. The homepage promises "No upfront costs, hidden fees, or minimums," says sellers can set up unlimited products and color combinations with zero risk, and repeats that "you only pay when you make a sale." There are no minimum orders and no leftover stock. Billing moved to credit card on July 1, 2025.
Ninja does not print a price list on the homepage. Instead it offers a profit calculator: the seller enters a selling price and the number of daily sales, and the calculator returns the potential monthly earnings and profit per unit. The fulfillment cost it uses is, in the page's words, "the price of the product and one print location," with shipping, taxes and other fees excluded. The update log records price changes, including a pricing update in August 2025 that asked sellers to review their margins and a price cut on all hats in November 2025. An August 2026 update introduced tiered shipping rates for bulk orders, headlined "Save up to 60%+ on shipping when you order in bulk."
Catalog
The catalog is apparel and bags, which the homepage counts at 2,500+ products. The company claims "the largest selection of all Print on Demand companies." The product menus break down as:
- T-shirts: short sleeve, long sleeve, soft tri-blend, performance, tank tops and sleeveless, women's, kids and V-neck
- Sweatshirts: lightweight, heavyweight, premium, performance, women's, crewneck, sustainable and cropped
- Hats: beanies, baseball, trucker, dad, premium, 5-panel, snapback and fitted
- Polo shirts: long sleeve, performance, golf, women's, kids, tall and sustainable
- Jackets: fleece, quarter-zip pullovers, vests, women's, soft shell, windbreakers, insulated and down, and rain jackets
In October 2025 the company added a generic product line, which it says gives the fastest turnaround, and inside neck tag printing for a retail-ready finish.
DTF quality claims
DTF is the whole pitch. Ninja argues that most POD services print direct-to-garment because it is simple and cheap, and calls DTF more labor-intensive but better. It says its DTF works on cotton, nylon, polyester and treated leather, resists cracking and peeling, and lasts 100+ washes thanks to its film, ink, powder and pressing process. Its inks, it says, get weekly G7-certified calibration, capture details as fine as 3 pixels, and have "the brightest white ink in the DTF industry." A 9-color process it calls VIVID AF adds RGBO and white to CMYK for what it says are 16.7 million colors, at no extra cost.
Design tools
The app includes a design studio with thousands of royalty-free images, AI art generation and hundreds of fonts. Updates added an artwork resolution check, product duplication and migration tools, saved templates that store product, colors, description and pricing, favorites, selective image syncing to Shopify, size charts added to product descriptions with a checkbox, and an order-data export. Sellers can also upload tax exemption documents.
Shipping, samples and support
"On average our orders ship in 2-4 business days," the homepage says, adding that the company uses various shipping options and monitors them closely. A March 2026 update added faster shipping and weekend deliveries with Amazon Ground at no additional charge. The company says its facility has delivered over 10 million orders on time to thousands of customers. A February 2026 guide explains how to order samples, either through Shopify draft orders or with the in-app sample button.
Support runs by email and live chat, and the homepage says the team is available 7 days a week. The site links to shipping, returns and refund, intellectual property, content standards and marketplace compliance policies.
Who it suits and who it does not
NinjaPOD suits a Shopify seller, including one selling through TikTok Shop via Shopify, who wants apparel printed by DTF with no fees until an order arrives, white-label shipping under the store's name, and a catalog deep in T-shirts, sweatshirts, hats, polos and jackets. Merch brands and sports or creator stores that need products live quickly, and anyone who wants inside neck tags without extra setup, fit the model well.
It fits less well for a seller whose store is not on Shopify, since the app is the only route the company describes, and for anyone who wants DTG, embroidery or non-apparel products such as mugs and wall art, since DTF on apparel and bags is all the service prints.
