Printycol is a print-on-demand service in Colombia that prints and embroiders apparel for Shopify sellers and ships each order straight to the seller's customer. Its site title reads "Print on Demand Colombia", and the opening line promises "Crea y vende tus productos sin inventario" (create and sell your products without inventory). The pitch is aimed at people starting a clothing brand in the Colombian market: "Montar tu marca de ropa en Colombia nunca había sido tan fácil. Automatizamos todo el proceso de punta a punta." (Setting up your clothing brand in Colombia has never been so easy. We automate the whole process from end to end.) The company says it makes and dispatches the goods itself: "Nosotros fabricamos y despachamos directo a tus clientes en toda Colombia" (we manufacture and ship directly to your customers throughout Colombia).

What a seller gets

The offer is a Shopify app plus the production behind it. The home page lays out three steps. First, "Conecta tu tienda": the seller installs the Printycol app in a Shopify store with one click, and the catalog syncs at once. The connection form asks for the store's .myshopify.com domain and accepts either a development store or a live production store, so a seller can build and test a shop before opening it. Second, "Diseñador Online 2D": an online 2D customizer where the seller places a logo on a garment and sees a simulated DTF print in real time. Third, "Despacho Automático": when a customer buys on the seller's site, Printycol prints, packs and ships the item to the customer's home in Colombia.

Getting started costs nothing up front, according to the site. The main button reads "Comenzar gratis" (start free), the gallery invites visitors to design their own product free of charge, and the closing call to action asks sellers to enter their Shopify store and start syncing Printycol's premium products "gratis". The pricing model behind that is a base price per garment, which the site advertises under the heading "Precios Base Competitivos" (competitive base prices). The catalog itself loads inside the app rather than as a static price list: the section headed "Prendas listas para personalizar" (garments ready to personalize) leads to "Ver catálogo completo y diseñar", the full catalog opened inside the designer.

The garment range is short and focused on streetwear. The gallery of finished products is filtered into three groups: Oversize, Buzos and Gorras. Under oversize sit the Camiseta Oversize, the oversize t-shirt that makes up most of the gallery. Buzos covers the Buzo con Capucha (a hooded sweatshirt, shown in a Premium Orange version as well) and the Buzo Cuello Redondo, a crewneck sweatshirt. Gorras is the cap line, with a mesh-back Gorra Malla in white and green, a Gorra Dad Hat in standard and green versions and a Gorra Astronauta in black. The company describes the blanks as "Prendas premium seleccionadas para el mercado colombiano" (premium garments selected for the Colombian market) made of "Algodón de alto gramaje", heavyweight cotton, with "excelentes acabados" (excellent finishes). The gallery headline, "Diseños que ya venden en Colombia" (designs that already sell in Colombia), presents these as real products that customers have personalized with the app, all "fabricado y despachado desde Colombia" (made and shipped from Colombia).

Print methods

Printycol names three techniques under the heading "Las mejores técnicas para tu marca", in a section labeled "Calidad Industrial" (industrial quality). It opens with "Nos tomamos en serio la calidad de cada prenda" (we take the quality of every garment seriously) and says it uses latest-generation machinery for durable prints and precise raised embroidery.

  • Bordado Premium en Relieve, premium raised embroidery. The site calls it flawless physical production and says it "Aumenta el valor percibido de tu marca" (raises the perceived value of your brand). This is the natural choice for caps and for a small chest logo on a hoodie.
  • DTF de Alta Definición, high-definition direct-to-film printing, described as giving strong colors and good stretch without cracking, and "Perfecto para logos a todo color" (perfect for full-color logos). It is also the method the 2D designer simulates.
  • Serigrafía Textil, textile screen printing, which the site says is "Ideal para pedidos en volumen de lanzamientos exclusivos de tu marca" (ideal for volume orders of your brand's exclusive launches).

That mix lets a brand run single on-demand orders in DTF or embroidery and switch a design to screen printing for a planned drop in larger quantities.

Turnaround, quality and shipping

Three figures sit in the banner under the introduction. The first is "48 h*", labeled "Producción promedio estimada" (estimated average production), with a footnote that the time is "Sujeto a volumen del pedido, disponibilidad de stock y capacidad operativa de los talleres" (subject to order volume, stock availability and the operating capacity of the workshops). The footnote speaks of workshops in the plural. The second is "300 DPI", described as optimized print quality, the resolution the company prints at. The third is "100%" with the line "Envíos cubiertos en Colombia", shipments covered across Colombia, next to the label "Logística Automatizada" (automated logistics).

Shipping is presented as domestic. Every mention of delivery on the site is to customers in Colombia, and the products are described as made and dispatched from the country.

Who Printycol suits

Printycol suits a Colombian seller building a clothing brand on Shopify who wants streetwear basics, oversize tees, hoodies and caps, without buying stock. The one-click app, the ability to connect a development store, and the free start make it easy to test a brand idea before spending money. The raised embroidery and the cap range suit brands built around a logo, while DTF covers full-color artwork and screen printing covers launch runs.

The limits follow from that focus. Shopify is the only store platform the site names, so a seller on another platform has no connection to install. The catalog is small, with no mugs, wall art or accessories beyond caps. The site publishes no base costs outside the app, so a seller needs to install it and open the catalog to work out margins.
