Promio

Promio is a print-on-demand and dropshipping company that prints apparel, mugs and accessories in its own print shop in Breda, in the south of the Netherlands, and ships each order to the seller's customer under the seller's brand. The English home page puts it as "Print on demand for your brand. Design and sell your own products online. Your orders are printed and shipped by us under your brand as soon as your customer completes the order." Directly under that line sit its two headline terms, "No monthly costs" and "No minimum orders". The company runs a Dutch site at promio.nl and an English one at promio.eu with the same catalog and prices in euros, and it addresses both small and larger web shops, people starting a clothing label, and anyone who wants to order printed products for themselves.

What a seller gets

The catalog is organized in three groups. Clothing covers t-shirts, sweaters, hoodies and trousers; children's clothing covers t-shirts, sweaters and hoodies; and accessories and homeware cover mugs, caps and bags. The Dutch print-on-demand page adds that Promio also prints flip-flops (slippers) "en nog veel meer" (and much more), and both sites invite sellers with a specific printed product in mind to get in touch, promising that Promio will always consider whether it can offer a suitable solution.

The blanks are named brands. The bestseller list includes shirts and tanks from Gildan's SoftStyle range, a Unisex Crew Neck T-Shirt from Bella Canvas and a Kids Hoodie from AWDis, and the news section tracks range changes and new collections from Stanley/Stella.

Promio's Dutch menu lists four print techniques under "Druktechnieken": direct to garment, embroidery (borduren), sublimation and direct to film.

Orders reach Promio in four ways, laid out on the home page under "How to order". A seller can integrate an e-commerce platform, connect a custom-built store through the Promio API, upload orders in bulk by CSV, or place an order manually online. The Dutch page describes the first route as installing Promio's app for Shopify, WooCommerce and Etsy for an automatic order process, and adds that products and variants can be exported to a web shop or marketplace. The integrations menu names Shopify, WooCommerce, Etsy, TikTok, Order Desk, Wix, Squarespace, Bol, Amazon, API and CSV. One version of the Dutch menu still marks Bol as "Binnenkort beschikbaar" (coming soon), so a seller who plans to sell on Bol should check its status when signing up.

A seller who already has listings does not have to rebuild them: the help section has guides for creating products, linking existing products in a shop to Promio products, and exporting products. Once connected, the home page says, "Your shop orders are automatically imported and processed in our system." The Dutch print-on-demand page describes what happens next: as soon as a customer orders, the product is printed with the design, packed neatly and sent straight to the customer.

Prices

Promio shows its base prices publicly, excluding VAT. From the bestseller list:

The pricing terms are summed up as "No cure, no pay. No monthly costs, you only pay for placed orders." Registration is free. Under "Credits and sales", the help menu explains how to top up a Promio account and how to pay for a placed order. The help section also has pages on shipping methods, shipping costs, lead time and order statuses, and every order can be followed through an order tracking page in the account. The same account serves a second use: the home page has an "Order for yourself" button beside "Start selling", for printing products without running a shop.

Branding, production and shipping

Branding is part of the standard offer: "We process and ship everything under your brand, offering custom neck labels and packing slips." The help pages explain how to create a brand in the account and add a custom neck label.

All printing happens in-house. The Dutch print-on-demand page says "Alle producten worden bedrukt in onze eigen drukkerij en verzonden via DHL" (all products are printed in our own print shop and shipped via DHL). The English home page says "From our Dutch fulfilment centre, products are printed, processed, and shipped within a few days", and adds that because all orders are processed and shipped from the fulfillment center in the south of the Netherlands, "production times are short, and deliveries in the Benelux are extra fast." Shipping is offered worldwide "with flexible options", and a 2022 news item is titled "Snellere levering voor dezelfde prijs" (faster delivery for the same price).

The service menu also lists returns handling (Retourafhandeling), a page on ecologically responsible production, and a guide to starting your own clothing line or label.

The home page says it offers personal support, "so the lines of communication are short, making us flexible." The help section has troubleshooting guides for the designer and for integrations, and the site runs an affiliate program and a news feed with product, company and service updates, including yearly last order dates before Christmas.

Who Promio suits

Promio suits a seller whose customers are mainly in the Benelux and who wants low, visible base prices: a Gildan tee at €7.95 excluding VAT leaves room to price a retail shirt competitively. The long list of connections reaches Bol and Amazon as well as Shopify, Etsy and TikTok, and the API and CSV routes cover custom stores.

Its range is apparel-led, with mugs, caps and bags alongside, so a seller who wants wall art or phone cases should raise that with the team before planning a shop around them.
