T-Shirt Buddies

Tap a star to rate

T-Shirt Buddies is a German textile printer that produces in its own workshop in Kaiserslautern, in Rhineland-Palatinate, and has added print on demand and dropshipping for online shops to a business built on single pieces, small runs and large orders for companies, clubs and schools. Its homepage headline reads "T-Shirt Druck ab 1 Stück Print on Demand & T-Shirt Dropshipping aus Kaiserslautern" (T-shirt printing from one piece, print on demand and T-shirt dropshipping from Kaiserslautern). For a seller, the draw is a real print shop with several decoration methods under one roof and a person to talk to, rather than a self-service platform.

What the company is

The company describes itself as offering "Professioneller T-Shirt Druck mit über 30 Jahren Erfahrung" (professional T-shirt printing with more than 30 years of experience), and its About text says it has printed T-shirts for a good 35 years and now produces its textiles in Germany, in its own facility in Kaiserslautern. A heading on the homepage reads "Made in Germany".

Its everyday work is custom apparel: company shirts, school and graduation shirts, bachelor party shirts, club shirts, fan shirts and promotional T-shirts. The homepage says the team has handled large customers and print jobs of several thousand T-shirts and polos. Print on demand and dropshipping sit on top of that work as a service for sellers who already run an online shop.

What a seller gets

The dropshipping page is aimed at shop owners who already have designs and are looking for a partner to produce the orders and send them straight to their customers. The About text says the same in one line: from a single piece to a large run, the company prints T-shirts, polo shirts and sweats and, on request, ships them by dropshipping directly to the seller's customers.

How a seller gets started is described plainly. There is no sign-up button and no app to install. The seller fills in a non-binding dropshipping inquiry form and tells the team about the shop, the designs and the plans. The page says the team will then work with the seller to choose the right textiles, discuss print placements and pick the print technique, and after that the company handles the rest. The same page is frank about the stage the service is at: "Zur Einführung unseres Dropshipping-Services suchen wir ausgewählte Shops als Betatester" (for the launch of our dropshipping service we are looking for selected shops as beta testers). That makes it an early, hands-on program rather than a finished platform with a published workflow.

The page headline names three forms of the service together: "T-Shirt Dropshipping, Merch Fulfillment und Shopify Print on Demand". Shopify is the one sales channel the site names. It does not describe how a Shopify store connects, whether orders sync automatically, or how order data reaches the workshop, and it names no other platform.

Beside the dropshipping service, the site runs its own ordering routes. The 1-2-3-Shirts configurator lets a customer design a shirt in a few clicks and order it directly, with a logo on the left chest, a slogan or photo on the back and a name on the sleeve given as examples. There is also a blank catalog of branded garments for women, men and kids, a quote form for larger orders, and a graphics service that prepares print files or designs a motif. A seller testing a product can use the configurator for single pieces before bringing a line into dropshipping.

Catalog and decoration methods

The homepage lists T-shirts, polo shirts, sweats, jackets, caps and sportswear as printable or embroiderable, and the blank catalog is described as a range of well-known textile brands. It covers an entry-level promotional line, a collection in organic cotton, fashion pieces for leisure and the office, jerseys and performance wear for sport, and workwear for trades and winemakers. A homepage tile reads "Bio-Baumwolle & Fair Trade" (organic cotton and Fair Trade), and the menu also advertises printed mugs as gift ideas.

The company lists seven decoration methods, each with its own stated minimum order:

  • DTF transfer printing, for multi-color designs in small to medium runs, suited to workwear, softshell and polyester, washable up to 60°C. From 1 piece.
  • Flex and flock vinyl (Plottdruck), for one-color logos and lettering, including names and numbers on jerseys, and the only method listed with effect colors such as neon, gold and silver. From 1 piece, vector files required.
  • Sublimation, only on white polyester, with no ink you can feel on the fabric; the page suggests it for jerseys and sponsor logos. From 1 piece.
  • DTG direct printing, for full-color motifs, gradients and photos on cotton and cotton blends, printed straight from the file with no setup costs. The page describes its inks as "Umweltfreundliche Öko-Tex Farben" (environmentally friendly Öko-Tex inks). Listed from 10 pieces, although the homepage also credits direct printing for its single-piece shirts.
  • Embroidery, for workwear and club polos, with a one-time program setup cost and no fine details. From 25 pieces.
  • Screen printing, on automatic presses with up to 16 colors and Pantone C matching, with setup costs for film and screens. From 50 pieces.
  • Rhinestones, for simple logos in at most two colors. From 50 pieces.

For a dropshipping seller this matters more than the list length suggests. Only DTF, vinyl and sublimation are listed from one piece, with direct printing covering single shirts according to the homepage, so a one-off order has to fit those methods. Embroidery and screen printing become options once a design sells in quantity.

Speed and shipping

Speed is the claim the site makes most often. Under "Blitzschnelle Lieferung" (lightning-fast delivery) it says it prints and ships T-shirts, sweats and similar items within a few working days. The express service is spelled out exactly: all orders from the "EXPRESS-SHIRTS" category that arrive on a working day, Monday to Friday, by 11 a.m. are processed the same day and leave production the next working day by express shipping. The site calls this its 24-hour print service and notes that conditions apply. The express range is described as T-shirts, polos and sweats.

The site's menu includes pages on production and delivery times and on shipping and payment, and the shop footer notes that shipping costs, volume discounts and taxes are calculated at checkout.

Pricing

The site publishes no base costs for dropshipping. Prices in the shop are given as per-piece prices including German VAT plus shipping, and the footer says tiered prices can differ for oversizes and colors. The site also advertises discounts for bulk buyers with current voucher codes. Screen printing and embroidery carry one-time setup costs on top of the piece price, according to the method descriptions, while direct printing has none.

Support

The company offers a free print consultation by phone, Monday to Friday from 9:00 to 18:00, and an email address, hallo@t-shirt-buddies.de, where the site promises to reply as quickly as possible. The whole site is in German, and the consultation is the route into every service: dropshipping, large orders and the graphics service all start with an inquiry.

Who it suits

T-Shirt Buddies suits a German-speaking seller with an existing shop, especially one on Shopify, who wants a print shop that makes its textiles in Germany and is willing to shape the service with them as an early beta partner. The range of methods is a real advantage for a brand that wants to move from DTF single pieces to embroidered polos or screen-printed runs without changing supplier, and the express service suits drops and event merchandise with tight dates.

It suits a seller less well who wants a self-service platform with a published catalog of base costs, an instant integration and a documented order flow. The dropshipping service is new, runs through a form and a conversation, and names only Shopify, so a seller on other channels, or one who does not work in German, has more to settle with the team before the first order ships.
