Tapstitch is a print-on-demand and dropshipping company that does apparel only, and it sells itself on the garments rather than on the size of the catalog. Its homepage headline is "Create and sell premium custom clothes easily", and the pitch is to "Design premium, stylish, eco-friendly apparel and dropship it globally." Its bestselling items ship from Los Angeles, the full collection from what the company calls its international facilities, and its business address is in Dover, Delaware. The offer is aimed at independent brands, creators and communities who want streetwear-style blanks, their own labels and no minimum order.
What the company is
The homepage lists its scale in four short lines: "No Upfront Costs", "No MOQs", "200K+ Brands & Communities" and "4M+ Garments Shipped". Elsewhere it invites visitors to "Join over 60,000 creators". It features three seller stories: a community brand, a running club that uses Tapstitch for its merch, and a dogwear brand that became a full-time business.
The company positions itself against what it calls generic POD suppliers, which it says produce underwhelming results from "ugly blanks, limited options, and tiny print areas". Its own blog puts the difference as a focus on fashion-forward apparel, with trending pieces added to the catalog quickly and wide print areas that include sleeve printing. Its one stated limitation, in its own words, is that it is "Limited to apparel".
What a seller gets
The homepage lays out four steps. The seller customizes a blank in the company's design tool, connects an online store and adds the designs "in just a few clicks, with no inventory or upfront costs", Tapstitch produces and delivers each order when a customer buys, and the seller keeps "the difference between production costs and your selling price as profit." The company's blog adds that the design tool can remove backgrounds and that no paid tools are needed.
Integrations. The site's integration menu names Etsy, Shopify, WooCommerce, Wix, Squarespace and BigCommerce. The FAQ says that "Once your store is connected, orders will automatically sync with Tapstitch for efficient fulfillment." A store is not required: the FAQ also says orders can be placed without linking a store, for one item or for thousands, which makes the service usable for event merch or a team order as well as dropshipping. The homepage has a separate "Design Event Merch" entry point, and the menu lists an Enterprise program and an affiliate program.
White label. The FAQ is direct about branding: "Your customers won't know the products come from Tapstitch. They will come with your designs, under your brand, with no mention of Tapstitch." Custom neck labels, hang tags and insert cards are available and can be added to orders. The same answer says "Branded packaging bags are still under development."
Payment. The blog describes Tapstitch as "completely free to use, with no subscription fees or hidden costs", and mentions a multi-currency wallet, which also appears in the account menu.
Catalog and prices
Tapstitch publishes its blank prices openly, each with the garment's weight, size range and color count. The catalog is organized into T-shirts, tank tops, long sleeve shirts, hoodies, sweatshirts, pants, sweatpants, shorts, coats and jackets, and sportswear, across men's, women's and unisex lines, with a Kids & Baby section in the menu. Examples from the catalog pages:
- Pure Cotton Unisex T-Shirt, 180 gsm, from $2.99
- Essential Cotton T-Shirt, 260 gsm, 10 colors, from $5.99
- Mineral Wash Boxy Cotton T-Shirt, 275 gsm, from $9.99
- Oversize Fleeced Hoodie, 350 gsm, 24 colors, from $14.92
- Unisex Regular Fit Crewneck Sweatshirt, 380 gsm, from $14.99
- Essential Heavyweight Hoodie, 430 gsm, from $22.99
- Women's Wide Leg Raw Edge Sweatpants, from $22.99
- Unisex Mineral Wash Raw Edge Shorts, from $19.99
- Unisex Heavyweight Vintage Wash Boxy Hoodie, 420 gsm, from $28.99
- Men's Boxy Vintage Wash Hooded Denim Jacket, from $32.99
The newer items lean toward washed, sun-faded and boxy streetwear shapes, with denim jeans, a denim jacket, yoga leggings and barrel leg pants among them. Garment weights run from light 180 gsm T-shirts to heavyweight 400 gsm and heavier pieces, which is the detail a streetwear brand usually has to request from a supplier. All prices are "From" prices. The catalog pages also let a seller collect up to 10 items into a "Design batch" to design together. Sizes run from XS on some styles to 5XL on others, such as the Vintage Washed Oversized Cotton T-Shirt at S-5XL from $9.99, and color counts range from a single colorway on the denim pieces to 27 colors on the Unisex Pure Cotton T-Shirt from $6.99. Newer fabrics include Sorona, with the Unisex Sorona Crewneck T-Shirt listed from $8.99 in 16 colors.
Printing and production
The FAQ names two print methods, used according to the item. For DTG it uses "top of the range Brother and Kornit machines with eco-friendly, water-based inks", and for DTF it uses "premium transfer films and advanced heat press equipment to ensure accurate, durable prints." On production, the homepage says its facilities have automated folding and bagging systems.
The company also makes environmental claims in its own voice: it says it only makes clothes when they are ordered, and that it uses "eco-friendly packaging, sustainable washing and dyeing techniques, and biodegradable printing inks." These are the company's own statements.
Shipping, samples and returns
Under "Global shipping, speedy delivery" the homepage offers "fast U.S. fulfillment of our bestselling items from Los Angeles", or customization of the entire collection "with fulfillment from our international facilities". Tapstitch's blog, in its entry on itself, gives delivery as 5–7 days on both its international and U.S. shipping routes.
There is no separate sample program. The FAQ says "We don't offer sample orders specifically, but our minimum order quantity (MOQ) is just one item", so a seller tests quality by ordering a single piece. Returns are handled by Tapstitch "in cases of manufacturing defects or order errors", while customer returns in a dropshipping setup are the seller's to manage under their own store policy.
Support runs through a help center and an academy, email at support@tapstitch.com, and live chat.
Who it suits
Tapstitch suits a clothing brand or creator who cares about the blank itself: heavyweight, washed and boxy cuts, published garment weights, labels and hang tags under their own name, and a price for every item before signing up. The one-piece minimum and the store integrations suit a first-time seller testing designs, and ordering without a store suits a club or event that needs a batch.
It suits a seller less well who needs more than clothing, since the company describes itself as limited to apparel, or who wants branded packaging bags today, since those are still in development.
