Ownprint is a print-on-demand supplier of personalized jewelry and accessories: engraved pendant necklaces, bar and name necklaces, heart keychains, bangles and birthstone pieces, laser-engraved with a buyer's name, date or photo. Its blog says it produces in its own facilities in Rotterdam and California and routes each order to the one nearest the buyer, and the homepage sums that up as "Made in US & EU". It is built for sellers, most visibly Etsy shop owners, who want to sell engraved jewelry under their own brand without holding stock. The company says it has produced personalized jewelry since 2020 and has more than 2,900 sellers. Joining is free, there is no subscription, and the seller pays only when a customer orders.
What a seller actually gets
The homepage lays out the model in four steps. The seller connects a store, customizes a piece of jewelry by uploading a design or picking a ready-made template, sets a retail price, and Ownprint engraves, packs and ships each order directly to the customer, "fully branded as yours". The homepage headline promises "No inventory, no upfront cost, no design skills needed", and the benefits block adds that there are no minimum orders and no monthly fees: the seller pays as they sell.
Order flow runs through direct connections. The homepage names Shopify, Etsy, WooCommerce and Squarespace, and the blog says the Etsy connection has been native since late 2023: listings publish from the Ownprint app, orders sync back automatically, and the personalization fields appear on the Etsy listing itself. For eBay, Amazon or a seller's own site, the blog says orders can be placed manually or by CSV upload.
The design side is where Ownprint puts most of its effort. Its editor works in five steps (design, message card, mockups, personalization fields and pricing) and shows the real charm size and the engravable area. It comes with more than 190 ready-made designs, a star map generator, a language converter for Greek, Cyrillic, Arabic and Hebrew, one-click background removal and AI design generation. Once a product is live, each buyer's text or pet photo is turned into the engraving file by Ownprint's own design team, so the seller never prepares a file per order. The AI tools (design generator, background removal, listing optimizer and message writer) run on Ownprint Points, a prepaid balance where one point equals one euro, rather than a plan.
Buyer personalization on the seller's own product page is included for Etsy and Shopify, with up to five fields and support for 10 languages. The blog shows a Shopify product page where the buyer picks plating, birthstone and engraving text with no extra app.
The catalog is jewelry first. The blog describes the catalog as smaller and mostly jewelry, and says it is expanding quickly. The pieces are 304L stainless steel, with 18k gold and 18k rose gold IP plating, laser-engraved in permanent black. The blog calls them hypoallergenic and REACH compliant, and says nearly every piece can be engraved on both the front and the back. There are ready-made designs for each jewelry shape and birthstone versions of several pendants.
Packaging is part of the base offer. According to the homepage, every order arrives gift-ready "with your shop name on it and nothing of ours": a gift box with the seller's logo, a personalized message card written by the buyer, the seller's own thank-you card and a gold foil wax melt. The blog adds foil wrap and a cleaning cloth to that list and says the box and message card come at no extra cost.
Prices, shipping and production
Ownprint publishes its prices on the blog, in euros with approximate dollar figures at the exchange rate of September 22, 2026. The company bills in euros and shows prices in the seller's own currency in the app, which supports 24 currencies. One price list applies to every seller.
- Engraved heart necklace, stainless steel, personalized: $12.90 (€11), front engraving included
- Same necklace in 18k gold or rose gold plating: $14 (€12)
- Engraved bar necklace, steel: $12.90 (€11)
- Custom name necklace, steel: $12.90 (€11)
- Engraved heart keychain, steel, personalized: $12.90 (€11)
- Birthstone necklace: $15.80 (€13.50)
- Back engraving: +$4.10 (€3.50); the blog notes that sellers charge $8 to $10 for it
- Logo on the gift box, in metallic foil: from $1.30 (€1.10) per box
- Seller's own thank-you card: $0.40 (€0.35) per order
The homepage profit calculator uses a fulfillment cost of $12.45 for one item with one print, and its footnote says this excludes shipping, taxes and optional engraving upsells.
Shipping rates on the blog:
- US: $8.15 (€6.95) for the first item, $3.50 (€3) per extra item
- EU and UK: $8.15 (€6.95) plus $3.50 (€3), shipped from Rotterdam
- Canada: $19.90 (€17) plus $4.70 (€4)
- US express: $14 (€11.95) plus $3.50 (€3) per extra item, delivered in 1 to 3 days
Production takes 2 to 5 business days, according to the blog. Ownprint says it ships to around 50 countries from the nearest facility. The blog says US orders are made in California and ship domestically, while EU and UK orders are made in Rotterdam, so a European buyer's order does not cross a customs border. The homepage says orders ship quickly from its facilities in both the US and the EU.
Support, remakes and track record
The blog says Ownprint remakes and reships anything that is its own error (a wrong item, an engraving mistake, a defect or damage in transit) and that the customer keeps the original piece. It describes itself as a smaller team that looks at each case on its own terms. Support, according to the blog, answers in 1 to 24 hours on weekdays, staffed by people who work in the app.
For seller education the company lists 18 Academy lessons, a free masterclass, video tutorials and a community section. The footer also links to an order samples page, so sellers can order pieces before listing them.
The homepage carries five video seller stories, all from Etsy shops selling worldwide. A seller in Vancouver says she has done "over 9,000 orders with Ownprint" and that her shop does $15,000 to $50,000 a month in revenue. A German seller is credited with 3,548 orders and €121,907 in revenue, and a seller in Melbourne with A$36,000+ built part time. The Melbourne seller says of support: "If ever I need to contact them, I always hear back with a great answer within 24 hours." These are the sellers' own figures, quoted from interviews, not a promise of results.
Who it suits and who it does not
Ownprint suits an Etsy seller who wants personalized jewelry in the shop: the native Etsy connection, the buyer personalization fields and the gift-ready box all point at that customer. It fits a seller with buyers on both sides of the Atlantic, since the blog says US orders are produced in California and EU and UK orders in Rotterdam, each shipped domestically. It also fits a seller without design skills, because the editor ships with ready-made designs and Ownprint's own designers turn each buyer's text or photo into the engraving file. Shopify, WooCommerce and Squarespace store owners get the same direct connection, and a seller on eBay, Amazon or a custom site can still send orders manually or by CSV.
It fits less well for a seller who wants apparel, mugs, wall art and jewelry from one supplier, since the company describes its catalog as mostly jewelry. Canadian buyers pay more for shipping than US or European ones, at $19.90 (€17) for the first item. A seller who prices in dollars should also note that Ownprint bills in euros, so the dollar figures move with the exchange rate.
