Drukwerknodig
Tap a star to rate
Drukwerknodig is a Dutch digital print shop that sells its whole catalog as a print-on-demand and white-label fulfillment service. It prints books, wall decor, photo products, promotional items, stationery and business gifts in its own production center in the Netherlands, and its print-on-demand page is aimed at webshops, brand owners, designers, photographers, publishers and print resellers who want to sell printed products without holding stock. The homepage describes the company as "de one-stop-shop voor al uw drukwerkvraagstukken" (the one-stop shop for all your print needs) and gives its scale plainly: 30 years of experience, 200+ employees and hundreds of orders a day from a 13,000 m² production center.
What a seller gets
The model is the standard one, run by a company that owns its presses. The seller sells on their own channel, the order reaches Drukwerknodig automatically, the item is printed only once it has been ordered, and the parcel goes straight to the end customer under the seller's company name. The print-on-demand page lists the selling points in short form: selling without stock risk or startup costs, "White label en internationale verzending" (white label and international shipping), "Print on demand vanuit Nederland" (print on demand from the Netherlands), marketplace dropshipping and an API connection. Elsewhere it repeats that there are no startup costs ("Geen opstartkosten") and that small runs and variable content are exactly what the service is for.
There are three ways to connect. A REST API links a website or webshop directly to the print shop: incoming orders are forwarded to the production center, the parcel is sent white label on behalf of the seller's brand, and Track & Trace information is shared with the customer automatically. A marketplace integration tool connects a seller account on Bol.com, Amazon or Etsy, among others, so marketplace orders are produced and shipped under the seller's name. The page also mentions connections for apps and ERP systems. The third piece is personalization software: an online editor the seller can embed in their own webshop, where customers add text, photos, logos and clipart, preview the design, and use features such as photo enhancement and an "AI Studio". Once the customer finishes, the software generates a print-ready production file, which removes manual prepress work.
Drukwerknodig also takes custom work. The page says the whole assortment can be offered on demand, and that products outside the standard range can be developed on request, with a quote form for anything not on the site.
The catalog
The range is far wider than a typical apparel POD supplier, because it is a general print shop. The print-on-demand page singles out photo products (books, enlargements, calendars), gift and promotional items (mugs, wine boxes, beer mats, photo puzzles, glasses) and wall decor (photo on plexiglass, on wood, on cork, and canvas).
Books are the company's specialty. It calls itself "boekenspecialist van de Benelux" (book specialist of the Benelux) and says it prints, binds and ships books every day "in diverse formaten, papiersoorten en afwerkingen" (in various formats, paper types and finishes). The book menu lists hardcover, softcover, lay-flat, hardcover wire-O, magazine, board book, wire-O, saddle-stitched, and hardcover with printed endpapers. That makes it a real option for self-publishers, photo-book services and yearbook projects.
Beyond books the menu covers:
- Wall decor and displays. Forex, aluminum and dibond, canvas, photo wallpaper, photo prints and enlargements, photo in a frame, photo on wood, cork, plexiglass, textile posters and foamed PVC, plus banners, flags, roll-up banners and signage.
- Gifts and promotion. Tiles, mugs, wine and beer boxes, champagne boxes, photo puzzles, cards, calendars, Christmas baubles, thermos flasks, playing cards, mouse mats, cotton bags and printed backpacks.
- Apparel and small items. T-shirts, hoodies, stickers, posters, buttons, magnets and luggage labels.
- Stationery and hospitality. Business cards, diaries, notebooks, letterheads, envelopes, printed shipping boxes, and for bars and restaurants menus, beer mats, coasters, placemats and printed glassware.
The homepage describes in-house departments for bookbinding and "Sign-HD", along with an extensive sublimation and engraving department used for forex, dibond, enlargements, mugs and business gifts. So a seller's mugs, glassware and wall panels come out of the same facility as the books.
Shipping, samples and service
Drukwerknodig ships free from €50 ("Gratis levering vanaf € 50,-"), offers rush production ("Spoedproductie") and advertises fast delivery times. The homepage goes further and claims "Snelste levering van Nederland en België" (fastest delivery in the Netherlands and Belgium). For books it offers a free proof ("Gratis proefdruk bij meer dan 10 boeken", a free proof print on orders of more than 10 books), and the book menu includes a free sample box ("Gratis Monsterbox"), useful for checking paper and binding before listing a title.
The homepage also pitches directly to resellers: Drukwerknodig calls itself the partner for graphic professionals and resellers, with sharp prices, fast delivery times and free white-label shipping ("gratis white label verzending"). Prices are per product in the web shop. Support runs through chat, phone and a contact form, and the print-on-demand page offers an advisory call ("Adviesgesprek") for sellers planning an integration. The site shows an average customer score of 8.8 from 1976 reviews; the quoted reviews mostly come from people printing books and business cards, praising quick delivery and the way print errors were corrected at no charge.
Who it suits
Drukwerknodig fits sellers who want a printer rather than a T-shirt platform: self-publishers and small publishers, photographers selling prints on aluminum, canvas or plexiglass, photo-book and calendar services, and merchandisers building gift ranges with mugs, tiles, puzzles and glassware. The REST API with automatic Track & Trace suits a webshop that wants a hands-off order flow, the marketplace tool lets Bol.com, Amazon and Etsy sellers skip manual order entry entirely, and the personalization editor is a strong extra for shops that sell customized products.
A few points to weigh. The site and its product pages are in Dutch, so a non-Dutch seller will be working in a second language. Production is in the Netherlands, so the service makes most sense for sellers whose buyers are in the Netherlands and Belgium, even though the page mentions international shipping. And the apparel range is small next to the rest of the catalog: T-shirts and hoodies are there, but a seller whose business is mainly clothing will find a deeper choice at an apparel specialist.
